Cheeca Lodge is a luxurious fishing lodge located in Islamorada, Florida. The lodge is situated in the heart of the Florida Keys, which is known as the “Sportfishing Capital of the World.” Cheeca Lodge offers world-class fishing for tarpon, bonefish, and permit.
The lodge has a 525-foot wooden fishing pier on the beach, which is perfect for fishing enthusiasts. The pier is equipped with fishing rods for guest use and bait for purchase (no license needed). Cheeca Lodge offers a variety of fishing charters and tournaments throughout the year. One of the most prestigious is the Presidential Sailfish Tournament held each January. Started by former president George H.W. Bush in 1990, this tournament has become an annual favorite of serious anglers worldwide and is a part of the Gold Cup Series of sailfish tournaments. Discerning anglers from across the country visit Cheeca every fall to fish for some of the most elusive gamefish in the world at the Annual Cheeca Lodge All American Backcountry Tournament.
